Discipleship Explained

Discipleship is not casual, but it is costly. In a culture that often presents faith as comfortable and convenient, Jesus speaks words that cut through our expectations. He tells us that anyone who wants to follow Him must love Him above every other relationship and even carry their own cross. Jesus also warns that allegiance to Him will sometimes divide families and demand difficult choices. Discipleship is more than words, more than church attendance, and more than religious activity. It is a life surrendered to Christ where loyalty to Him surpasses comfort, reputation, relationships, and even our own plans. Jesus is not looking for admirers. He is calling disciples!
