Partial To Perfect

The Church is the body of Christ and is designed to be diverse in its members but united in purpose. The Holy Spirit gifts believers spiritual gifts for the building up of His body. Paul tells the Corinthians to eagerly desire those gifts, but he emphasizes that love is the atmosphere in which all gifts must operate. The eternal perspective he provides is that spiritual gifts are temporary tools, given for this present age. We are stewards of temporary tools on a temporary mission. What will last forever is not our gifting, or titles, or our church roles, but our love.
